Manhattan June 09

608905426_xuwky-thUsually not much changes from one visit to the next in Manhattan.  However, a few weeks ago a section of Broadway was made a pedestrian mall.  I found that this made getting around in that area much easier.  However, I am still trying to figure out why you would want to sit in a lawn chair for any period of time in this area.  But that is just me.

The businesses in the area donated the funds for the city to buy lawn chairs and recliners.  There were people reading, sleeping, visiting and just posing for pictures.  Amazing.

We stay in the Bryant Park area.  This is such a beautiful park, no matter the time of year.  It also gives you a place to have some peaceful time in the midst of the city’s chaos.  After a day of a really great business meeting with the ReSource Pro advisory group it was time to play.

I so love being in this city.  It has a great energy.  I find just being out on the streets gives me energy.  As usual our goal is always a couple of shows.  We saw 9 to 5 and Avenue Q. 9 to 5 is the move but much more as only a musical can be.  This is a must see for anyone that is a fan of the movie. Avenue Q is what I call an adult Sesame Street.  It has won a number of awards and we enjoyed it a great deal.  My theatre fix has been satisfied for a few months.  Enjoy the album of the sites from Manhattan.  Another great event in my quest for The Glamour of The Road.
